I had instructions to be 400' and far out to take pix of a building from 8 points and 200', then 75' then near ground level which worked great.  The communication link was Solid as a rock.  The Mavic 2 Zoom is a joy to fly.  So much confidence that you don't have to worry about anything really going wrong.

I didn't get into it until lately because I got scared of all the DJI flyaways.  I was making my own back in 2013 w/ KKBoards.  How much you make for 4.5 years of flying?

I have been flying commercially surveying wind turbines on and off shore , I probably fly roughly 50/60 days a year, so it’s part time , I basically do it because I enjoy it, it’s not my main income, but the money is nice and it makes it a bit easier to purchase my drones and camera gear for my hobby.

Drone I fly commercially belongs to the company, I’m just contracted to fly it, I have had one job filiming for TV this year which was nice, I was basically filling in for a friend, I’d like to do more of that work, but it’s quite a closed shop.

Regarding what I get paid, I’d rather not divulge on this forum.

Been offered several times but I don't have a PfCO so declined payment. When did you get your part 107?

March 29 I passed the test but I didn't get my license in the mail until I think last week or 4 days ago.

What's PfCO?

Good for you.
The UK equivalent of part 107. You need it to profit from the use of a drone in UK airspace. It's more complicated to obtain than 107 though as you need to write your own manual and costs around a grand.

I have had a few paid jobs. I also have two upcoming weddings I will be filming using my drones.

I have had my 107 for just over a year.

Nope.
We can't do that here in NL unless we get our license.

I just got mine (Mavic 2 Zoom) at the cost of NZ$2500...DJI GO 4 doesn't seem to work very well with my HUAWEi Y7..going to have to spend more money for another phone. I agree with the joy to fly, I tried it out without a phone attached and it still worked great (although no video), strictly hobbiest at the moment

Was doing a photo shoot in Belize with a model. During the shoot a guy came out of his retirement beach house on the sand and said... "you're really good at that thing". Well, I'm not, but he didn't need to know that. He offered me $100 to take a short video of his place and the surrounding palm trees. This may have changed my path forever lol

Should've added a poll to this post. I plan on going for my license soon and hope to do things here and there. Can't hurt to put myself out there, will only gain more experience and knowledge.
