DJI Mavic 2 Zoom slower after High Wind Velocity in Sport mode.   P-GPS is faster than Sport when this happens.

I have the DAT file now.  What do I do w/ the DAT file?

The problems were with High Wind Velocity but switching to P-GPS made it faster.  Switching back to Sport made it slower.  They shouldn't govern the Drone like this.  I emailed the file to DJI or if DJI could get me an e-mail to send the TXT file to to see what I'm talking about.

Walking the boardwalk in Seaside the wind was quite massive.  Prob excessive wind could throw the drone off into a Flip of death confusing the computers if full potential was allowed.  It had some kind of OA front not working when it was around 13mph towards the end.  Prob a bad idea to fly in high winds next time!  I flew in AC and I had no problem w/ massive winds..

"Prob a bad idea to fly in high winds next time!"

I think you've found the problem, and no problem with aircraft. The wind can be much stronger and unpredictable at higher altitude. With object avoidance disabled there is not much difference in speed between sport & P mode.

yeah, but looking at the flag in the video it wasn't blowing hard at all

The problem is when it blows hard Once, the system goes into limp mode until you land and take-off again so if you are far out and you need to Sport mode back but can't make it when it goes into limp mode it's gone!!!

It came back at a fairly consistent speed of round about 14 mph or so, that's not quite so bad. I'm not quite sure what this limp mode is that you refer too (can you point to a section in log file ?). You had a tailwind with you flying out, and you had to fly against that when returning. If you click on lines from 50 seconds onwards you can see the attitude of the aircraft is about 45 degrees as it works against the wind (the attitude indication gauge is just above the right stick gauge). That's the wind at 500 feet.

Can DJI give the option to see attitude degrees rather than just the horizon water mental math area fill graph radar thing?  When you're in the air it's a great idea to know exactly what is going on or going to go on rather than trying to figure out if it's extended or near extended.

Obviously the Mavic 2 is not designed entirely symmetrical but being near the limit, it would be cool to have some sort of bar or percentage this way we know when and where not to go far.  I think the system remains in "safe" mode from say 1 microburst downdraft/updraft but this is bad.  The acceleration is incredibly bad when "safe" mode has been initiated.  It's not like we're flying by a Tornado though there could have been.

I will refrain from saying anything vulgar in the future for fear of people not taking anything seriously.

Seriously?  Why are you such a tool?  This isn't the kind of place that you drop abusive language.  It was pointed out and you are still going on about it.  Frankly I am sick of seeing your useless posts that you are only doing for points.

Even right down to making new threads that duplicate ones that you have already replied to?

Mine April 19th
https://forum.dji.com/thread-187073-1-1.html
Which you knew about and replied within.

2 Days later you make practically an identical new thread asking the same info?
Yours April 21
https://forum.dji.com/thread-187278-1-1.html

If no one else will say it, I will.  You are pretty much spamming these forums with useless garbage just to get points and I for one am sick of seeing your name pop up constantly.I am sure others feel the same.  But I can't speak for others.

Smarten up!

Do you even realize this is not the Spark forum?  I am seeking high-performance answers in a High-performance setting.  Sometimes certain things need to be detailed out so we know Exactly what is happening and take actions accordingly Specific to the data collected instead of just flying slow and Easy where You can do Everything but flying upside down w/ No issues.  I mean, I have a drone (racer quad) that does fly upside down and Have flown upside down but that's different.

Post like yours are the reason why a lot of good knowledge and fixes get covered up.  We will just take completely the point out and focus upon something else like me which is irrelevant.

It doesn't matter what forum it's under.  I don't believe I mentioned SPARK specifically?  The use of profanity is not by any means a good way to get your point across.  You can argue that all you want, but it's not going to make it right.

I am sorry but my posts aren't repeats and useless.  This will be my last reply as I personally don't want to spam the forum and I have said my piece!

There is no problem if you just read the posts but I don't think I would get any help when High-winds kick in and it goes into Limp mode.  It's probably a very good safety feature.

There's a dot on the route which means something but it doesn't say what.

And another at 3 min 7.4, looks like it's marking the change in battery, as it moves from 81% to 80%. And likewise for 1 min 30.6 where it changes from 91% to 90%.

If your RC is calibrated correctly, and none of the gains or settings changed in DJI Go 4 then your aircraft looks to be working as expected.

As Aardvark explained in post #24, its the battery state change to 90%, 80% and so forth.
I recommend to get an Airdata account and examine the logs in a more detailed fashion in addition to Phantomhelp.

The real solution is never to film in Sport Mode and only fly in Normal OA off.  This way everything is consistent.  Once it goes through the threshold, it's remains in "limp" mode for a while.

I was full stick and was only going up 1 m/s per second instead of say 5 per second.  This is not comforting when you want to go and you can't.

Nope, just winds at high speed, please land asap but using normal mode was faster than Sport because switching back to Sport limited it again.  I assume an error inside the system to prevent a flip of death which is great.

Anything that will prevent a "flip of death" can't be described as an "error" surely. All drones will have a max pitch angle - simple physics in line with the limitations of the design - is that what you meant by limp mode then?

Vehicles do the same when they detect an error.  Like say you are giving full stick on Sport mode, but it's like being on Tripod mode but slower.

Max speed in tripod mode is <3MPH - if you are flying at that speed in full pitch in sports mode with an M2 you are either flying near a tornado or your drone is ......
