For my second drone video, I put together a short one of the Caraiman area in the Bucegi Mountains of Romania, my home country.
I shot just a few clips with a Mavic Air while being up there helping my brother with logistics for the 7500 Bucegi ultramarathon.
The cross you see in the video is called Heroes' Cross and is the tallest summit cross in the world situated at such an altitude (2,291 metres / 7,516 ft), as recognized in 2014 by Guinness World Records. It was built in the 1920's to honour the soldiers who died near Busteni in WWI.
This place is very special for my girlfriend (Alexandra), who chose the song and edited this video, and she dedicated it to her grandfather, who fought in WWII and was a war hero and prisoner.
Hello and good day Alexandra. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video you have captured using your DJI Mavic Air. Beautiful work and thank you for your support.
Thank you all for your feedback. We really appreciate it!
For Qui Rom'squestion about the fog: there were no problems flying like that but I wouldn't recommend it because there is a risk of ice deposit on the propelers, especially at high altitude. The clouds were impredictible and in seconds everything was totally whiteout. Luckly the connection was stable and I was able to bring the drone back following the phone's screen; otherwise the RTH was necessary. Not my favourite scenario
