Hi! So excited finally I got in my hands the smart controller for mavic 2 pro!

Something strange is happening though, as soon as I connect with the drone I go settings and I see that the video and photo settings are in automatic and they can not change to manual. Nothing. Only automatic.

When I will go to photo and settings then I change from hdr to normal photo and they it gives me manual settings. Then I change to video and I have manual settings also.

This is a bit annoying considering that I need to this all the time when first connect.

Any ideas or walk through so can change to manual settings?

I have updated to the latest firmware drone and smart controller and nothing is pending from my side.

I think thats the default settings on the smart controller.

You are not doing anything wrong, it just always starts up in auto for camera settings.

One other thing to be aware of is that flicking back and forwards to the video mode and back to camera, will also change settings back.

So make sure you check that you have the settings you want in both video mode and photo before and after switching.

We got some great shots with our M2P and Smart Controller in Paphos a few weeks ago too.

Your welcome!

And yes we know, we captured them both!!

As far as the maps and compass, you have to download the offline map for your area first, via wifi,

You can then have them ready to use for the location you are heading too.
