why would you want sound?! its just a noisy buzz :/

Unless you are live streaming.  Then it will record what you say on the ground.  In another thread, users have asked if it has that capability, why can't it record what is said on the ground while not live streaming.  Clearly it has the capability.

All you would hear is the rotors that resemble a horde of pissed off hornets.

In other words, instead of the Phantom recording the buzzing props, your iPad (or whatever device) could record your commentary . .  ."oh look, there's grandma's house . . . etc"  The hardware capability is obviously there.  The question is, has anybody figured out how to do it when not live streaming, or is a software modification required?

You can try the voice recorder app that is included with every IOS device...

You can record the audio on your tablet/phone separately, but you'll have to assemble the video/audio into one file in post.  The high res copy of the video is being recorded to the mSD card on the Phantom, the audio would be on your tablet..

As and aside, if I watch one more video on youtube of a Go-pro/drone where the damned annoying prop/wind noise has not been replaced with silence or music/commentary I may just go mad!!  :-)
