Wow I finally can post, what is the biggest tablet you would use on a P3A?

Tha answer would be the largest that can fit into the mount on the RC controller. I use an iPad Air 2, which works very well and just fits in the mount.

Thanks, you are the second one that uses the iPad Air 2. Makes me consider a non android tablet.

I don't particulalry like Apple, but the Air 2 works extremely well, and all I use it for is the Phantom.

Thanks so much for that info, seems like they are available on amazon with 4 different HD capacities 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Is there any reason to get larger than 16GB? All of the other specs seem to be the same.

If all you want to use it for is your drone, then you do not need any more memory than 16GB.

Yes, the 16gb would be fine. But as you use more memory for pics and video you may wish for more.

I bought the 64gb model, and love it. By the way, There are two ways iPad are sold, those with cellular and them without.
It’s only the Cellular models that contain the GPS module.  
You may wish to use any of the autonomous flight modes in the Go app, those require you to have GPS in your device.

I can’t open the American link, for unknown reasons, but yes, that last one, should work great for you.

All iPads are wifi compatible... hahaha
Eh, but only the cellular ones have gps.

I use a Nvidia Shield KI, less than half the price of any iPad thingies and has everything they have and runs DJI GO beautifully!

Works great, no doubt. But the autonomous flight modes are restricted from your use.


If that’s alright with you, then it is a great choice of devices.

Not on iPads.

All iPads have wifi.

In tablets Tesco Hudl 2 which is possibly pushing the lower boundary, Nexus 7 seems fine, £35ish on ebay.   
iPad Air2 £160ish+?

Air2 is king of the beasts. Hahaha

Yes, that is correct, there is no GPS on WiFi only version. The cellular version has GPS.

It's HUGE, I'll have no problem seeing that screen. You can turn the brightness way up. Going to install Go in the morning during free time.

Do you guys use a tray with a HUGE screen like that?

It’s only that much bigger appearing, in comparison to what you already had been using.

But, they are pretty light, that's why “Air”...

I use a DJI Harness, opposed to a simple neck strap.
