Bit of a strange one happened yesterday and would welcome any suggestions.

Did two flights and the same thing happened on both:

Flight 1: Early morning, temp 8 degrees celsius, no power lines or anything electrical - took off in the middle of an open field. Kp index was 2 so not likely to be geomagnetic issues. Was up around 250ft and only 50ft away from me and RC Signal lost. RTH activated and it came back to me. I took control when it was about 60ft above me and it gave a sudden burst of speed downwards so i quickly throttled up and it rose, from there i brought it down normally without issue.

The only thing that was out of the norm was that the wi-fi extender was at 30% but i wouldn't have thought that would cause the issue. I had 11 satellites at the time and i had my full pre-flight check done - all calibrated fine and battery was at 11 minutes remaining so no issue there.

I then fully chrged the controller (that was 100% anyway), fully charged the WiFi extender.

Flight 2: practically identical issue but this was about 20 miles from Flight 1. Little to no wind, 16 degrees celcius Kp index was 2. I flew lower (80ft approx) and again, i was no more than 50-100ft away from me when suddenly, RC Signal Lost and RTH was activated, it returned to me and descended fine (didn't take control).

I have just checked for any firmware updates - everything is already up to date. I have recalibrated everything using the DJI Software on the PC, nothing looked out of the ordinary so i'm puzzled what would
cause this to happen not once but twice in the space of 2 flights in 1 day.

Just to clarify, not as much as a scratch on this bird, no hard landings or crashes.

Any ideas?

What was the TX antenna orientation in relation to the Phantom?

I was facing the drone with the antenna at a 45 degree angle (as i have done since day 1 without incident)

This is the Phantom 2 Vision + V3 so there is only 1 antenna but no, not as much as a scratch on it, it's as the day it was bought.

Is there a way you can do a reconnect with your RC and the Phantum, like on the Inspire? I would try that
