Hi guys

I just got my new mavic air. I updated the firmware for both the drone and the RC.
When I wanted to start flying, I got the - 'main controller data' error message.
I tried to calibrate the IMU, but the 'start' button doesn't respond when I click on it.

what should I do?

Make sure you are doing the IMU calibration on a flat level surface.  If that doesn't work, I would suggest maybe trying to do a refresh of your firmware to make sure that something didn't go awry in that process.
If that doesn't help, I might suggest contacting DJI Support at https://www.dji.com/support

the surface is flat
I'm trying now to install DJI assistant 2 to refresh the firmware. I really hope that this is the issue here and not something worse

Hi, thank you for bringing this query to us and we're sorry for the inconvenience caused. May I ask if you manage to fly your drone? Did you experience any hard landings? Also, you may refer to the post of KlooGee on post #2, please make sure that you are performing the calibration on the flat surface to avoid any errors. I will be posting an official tutorial below. Please keep us posted. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Hi

As I metioned earlier, the drone never flew, so no harsh landings or bumps.
I refreshed the firmware but that didn't solve the problem.
In the link you sent to the same problem I don't see a solution for the problem.

A short search through the internet makes me believe that this is not the first time that this problem accurse. What should I do? How do we solve this?

Hi, thank you for the additional information. Since you've managed to exhaust the troubleshooting steps that could possibly rectify the problem on your drone, however, it seems that the problem persists, we highly recommend sending the unit into our repair facility for further evaluation. You may refer to the link below. Thank you for understanding and support.
