Thanks all !
No they had a plan...19 years ago they would like to build a castle here in the Netherlands (city: Almere) . But during construction the finance went bad and they stopped building further. Now almost 2 decades there is still no solution or plan to finish it. So it's a modern ruin
The Energienaald (1985) is a work of art by Jan van Munster along the A6 at the Almere Haven exit (exit 4). The mast was installed on behalf of the Rijksdienst voor de IJsselmeerpolders. The mast is 55 meters high, of which 10 meters of neon lighting in the top. The base is 80 cm wide and the mast is tapered. If the wind blows hard, the mast has a 6 meter result. The mast was initially placed in the center of Almere. However, residents were afraid that the mast would blow over and fall on their home. After two trips, the current location at the A6 was reached.
