Finally got my Mavic Mini! Very excited. Charged up the batteries. Charged the controller.
Connected phone to controller and upgraded without issue. Fun part was trying to connect to the aircraft. App kept crashing.
Did some digging. Motorola Z3 is not a supported device. Worked great with my Mavic Air.

Which of the listed phones are most people using? Considering buying one just for the Mini so price is a bit factor. Otherwise the Mini is getting returned. No, I don't need an upgrade. Would prefer not to use an iPhone but if that's what is working great I'll consider it.

I managed to get a used Galaxy S8 note for $200 US and it works great.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 plus and that has worked so far without any issues.

Note 10+ and S9

No issues with either

Note 8 works well. No problems.

Huawei Honor 8X. No issues and very pleased with the phone.

IPhone 10 XS Max. It has dropped the connection during flight.

Where is the info that the Moto Z3 doesn't work?  I was trying a Moto Z2 and have been unable to get the controller to connect with the drone.

Last year got a Redmi Note 5, is on dji compatibility list   and works fine and was about 200 bucks.

At first I was upset because my Huawei Ascend XT2, which was released in 2017 and works great with my Mavic, did not work with Fly app. I was about to send the Mini back in disgust. But as it turned out, my old Samsung Note 5, released in 2015, works perfectly even though it's not on the list. They are both 64bit, but the Huawei has 2GB memory and the Note 5 has 4GB.

Im using an iPhone XR.  The thing with iphones is that the controller doesn't charge your phone, giving you more battery life on your controller (3hrs worth).

iPhone XS or Ipad Mini 4, both do a good job ... I'm thinking about selling the Mini 4 and get a mini 5

iPhone 6S Works very well...….

Ipad Minis do not work at the moment they are just a stretched iPhone APP and while they work they look horrible

Did you ever succeed in getting your Z2 to work?  I just bought a mini but it never occurred to me that it wouldn't  work with all phones Android 8 and above. Wondering if I return it or not ..

Were you ever able to get your Z2 to work?

Samsung Galaxy S6, works perfectly but is a little dim and only a 5" screen, bought just for this drone. LG G6 with 5.5" screen worked only intermittently, no good.

I use a Samsung S10+ or my Pixel 4XL.  Both work equally well with zero issues.  My grandson uses a Note 8 and it has a very bright screen.
