I decided not to waste the Mini packaging, used it with a Seahorse case from Amazon

Just enough extra room for a spare battery and a charger.

Thaniks for the compliments.  The case cost $22, comes with pre-scored foam so it's easy to shape.  It's deep enough but no extra, had to take out the base foam and trim a little off the top foam to avoid pressing on the propellers.  Hopefully the packaging material will not deteriorate.

I found some of those also quite cheap, the mini insert is a good idea.
