Hi,
After over two years of flying I have finally managed to crash my Spark. I crashed it at full Sport mode speed - failed to clear a tall pine, ricocheted to another pine and came down from about 10 meters high onto rocks. Broke one arm and destroyed battery.
I managed to plastic weld the arm back - looks almost intact - but I started to get Air encoder error and camera sensor error. My camera would work for few seconds, than go black and white and freeze, errors would appear on DJI Go 4 app, than camera would start working again for a few seconds, freeze and this loop will repeat itself.
I tried to reflash the firmware just in case something got messed up when my battery was ejected from Spark during crash. Despite multiple tries using DJI Assistant 2, it failed.
So I took the Spark apart to check all the connectors and, sure enough, found two tiny wires going from camera and gimbal to the mainboard broken off.
I can order replacement camera and gimbal but when I was searching for them I ran across a warning that after replacing camera assembly, one need to calibrate it with a special software (not DJI Go 4).
Is this true? Can broken camera and gimbal assembly be simply replaced without any special equipment which only DJI has or special equipment and software is required?
