Sadly, I've lost my mavic mini today. I was flying it and I noticed it said 'Max Power Load Reached' which is weird because I've never had that message before ever. I was about to loose signal and so I just initiated return to home, and it was returning fine, then it stopped and started drifting to the side. I do not know what to do, I tried searching for it for about 3 hours and couldn't find it.
Here are the logs, can anyone help me please?

I want to know what my options are. Note: I did not put my contact details on the drone at all

Are you aware of the "find my drone" option in the APP?
It would tell you his last location before loosing GPS or stoping to work.
Hope you can find it.

looks like at 14.25 you changed from Rth mode to sport mode and from here your craft was going sideways away from homepoint.
Not sure if you even new you done this, but prior to this your craft was making good ground.

If you could post your log to ph link below more details on this, just click follow instructions.

Yes I have used the find my drone option, but it only shows me the last known location, but I don't know where it drifted off to. I've looked for about 3 hours and no luck. The problem is that the drone was still in the air when it lost connection, and it kept drifting away so I couldn't actually see where it went.

I cancelled it because I noticed it started to drift and it wasn't trying to return to home, so I cancelled RTH and re-initiated it, then it lost signal

Hiya,

Had a look at your flight.

At 1m 30 secs in flight your activate a RTH. Distance to home 435 meters.
Guess lots of wind as the forward speed only about 2.3 m/s.
At 2m9s distance to home 333 meters. Drifing bit to the left of HP.
More wind i think as your mini started to drift more side ways, see the chart.
At 3m8s at 326 meters away (but more to your right) switch to Sport.

No RC input to bring heading more towards home and no fully forward pitch to try to fly craft home in Sports mode.
Mayby an option to lower fly height to find less head wind.

At 3m21 lost connection. Batt level 25 percent, not sure if that`s enough to fly against the wind to make it home.
In the file lots of high wind info. (not seen in the app)

BTW very roughly the landing spot on the chart.

cheers
JJB

Hiya,

Had a look at your flight.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate the help. I looked at the logs and it said, "P-GPS" mode near the end. Does that mean that it tried to hover? And since the battery was at 24% at the last known position, do you think it tried to hover, reached 20% and then tried to land?

Good question, loosing connection and no GPS errrors it will do a RTH.
RTH but doesn`t come close to home beacuse iof the wind.
At a certain batt level (enough to make a safe landing) it will start an autolanding.

Yeah it seems it drifted, is quite a distance for a busy area and lost signal after going over the crowded area, is easy to pause the RTH so good to check the map in the app if possible.
I hope you find it!

Mini controllers don't have a "Pause" just saying...

Pressing the RTH once is returning does pause it, same when is auto landing.

Hiya,

Are those timings right, they don’t match up with time on logs

Yes, timings are correct.

Log viewer Phantom help start this flight (startting motors) at 11m24s.
My timings starts always at zero at first record (as most logs start with starting motors), wich is 'better' i think.

In the flightlog somehow the FlyTime starts at 684.3 seconds, guess phantomhelp converts this to 11m24s.

Hiya,

Very hard to answer.

Loosing contact at last position it will
a) drift on the wind, heading about 200 for 11 seconds ; distance travelled about 40 meters?
b) after 11 seconds into RTH, will adjust heading, my guess it will move hdg 240 but for how long before into autolanding?
c) at wich batt level starts the autolanding as battery drains approx 1% per 10 second, so distance travelled is a bad guess
d) how much battey level is needed to perform a safe landing (take time to descend from 97 meters to ground level, about 80 seconds = 8% batt level)

Too many loose ends to make IMO a good prediction where it has landed.
So skip my prediction in post #7, after second thought it cannot be true.

Yes, timings are correct.

I believe this was his second flight craft had landed but was still turned on , so this is considered one flight because craft was not powered off .

i think so too, but my program starts time counting as it was a new flight. But after landing engines stopped always a new flight is started...so still bit funny to see this values at startup in phantomhelp
Not so important as we look at the same data.
