Hi I have a mavic 2 zoom and a standard controller, the problem I have is that the left hand dial button that should lower the gimble up and down simply doesn't work.

The gimble works on auto calibration in all directions and moves freely.

I have auto calibrated the controller and the gimble.

I'm lost as what to do next......

Hi. I am sorry for the trouble that your DJI Mavic 2 Zoom has caused. For this concern. I would recommend, please try to calibrate the remote controller to isolate the issue. In addition I will be posting an official DJI Tutorial Video for the remote calibration. just in case that this troubleshooting steps does not work.
