I noticed recently that the fully Charged batteries, there show only 96% on the next day's fly. I have four batteries and all are the same. I don't know whether it is normal or not. The battery charging cycles are not too high (40-50). There is no accident happened before, and no mal-use.

Does anyone experience the same situation?

THanks ahead for your reply.

It is quite normal, the % charge is based on battery voltage which will drop a little after a re-charge. Cheers

Thank you for your reply.
I am just wondering that 4-5% drop will reduce the duration/distance of fly. I feel happy if it is still quite normal.
Wish you a Merry Christmas!

Hello and good day. Thank you for reaching out and for the inquiry. ssylca44 is correct on post #2. In addition, I will be posting a link where in you can see the DJI Mavic 2 Intelligent Flight battery Guidelines. Thank you.

Merry Christmas too djiuser. The real flight time is always somewhat less than the DJI published value, 4-5% wouldn't make any difference.

Being a battery guy, it is very normal. Could be storage temperature as well, warmer storage temps will cause a slightly higher discharge rate. I actually store mine in the fridge and it slows the discharge rate considerably.

What's the max cycle number for a Mavic 2 battery? I do know that checking the voltage balance on scream of SC is importance. .

Hold on:

If this phenomenon is normal, why battery for Mavic Pro Platinum can maintain 100% battery for at least a week?

I did the comparison of much younger Mavic 2 battery with the much older Mavic Pro Platinum Battery charged the same evening, and flied next morning. M2P battery  was 95% and MPP battery was still 100%. More interestingly, fly-time for MPP was 4 minutes longer than M2P battery.

I wish DJI stuff gives us a proper explanation.

Battery charge level is not an exact science like measuring in the amount of liquid in a vessel, it is only based on voltage which can fluctuate from battery to battery and definitely with the temperature. It is why a % reading cam fluctuate by +/- 5% or more.
