Hello All, Happy New Year. I switched on my Mavic 2 Zoom today and I had an Abnormal warning next to "Firmware" It is telling me to Calibrate the Vision Sensors. Should I do this or just ignore and fly anyway?

The reason I ask is that I have seen people have trouble after doing this, for example ikopta on youtube.

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Hello JMR58, I know that seems obvious but reading others have had problems doing it and given the Craft still fly's at the moment I wanted to check this was a safe thing to do before performing the Calibration. Have you done the calibration successfully before or know anyone who has?

I've done it a couple of times when prompted and have had no issues.
Takes a few minutes as you need to do all four sides of the drone.

I know the vision sensors calibration is not an easy thing to do, I needed some try's also.
But the result is trustful, AC will react correct to obstacles and land almost perfect on HP.
Keep sensors clean! Good luck

Hello and good day Prototype_uk. Thank you for reaching out and for the information you have shared with us. I would recommended you to calibrate the Vision Sensors of your DJI Mavic 2 Zoom if the application shows you that message. It is recommended to use a monitor with a size of 14 inches or more, and a curved screen is not supposed to be used. Set the display resolution to the recommended value ( usually 14 inches for 1366*768 or 1440*900; 17 inches for 1366*768 or 1280*720; 19 inches for 1366*768 or 1440*900; 22 inches for 1680) *1050 or 1920*1080; 24 inches for 1920*1080 or 1920*1200 ). I will also post a link where in you can find the official DJI Tutorial Video on how to calibrate the Vision System of Mavic 2. Please keep us posted on the said issue for us to assist you further. Thank you.

Yes it wasn't easy but I have successfully calibrated it now. I always keep the avoidance cameras and IR senor clean.
