The DJI Fly app is sometimes unable to change the flight mode of the drone. It displays "N/A" where the S/P/C flight mode should be visible. Tapping it does nothing.

It happened to me twice (the first time on v1.0.3 and today on v1.0.4). Landing the drone and restarting it does not solve the problem. Restarting DJI Fly app fixes it.

Do you face the same problem? It's rather rare because it happened twice in my 50 flights "experience". What might be causing this?

I've noticed that you cannot seem to be able to switch fly mode when in airplane mode as someone suggested for better range.

I have also seen the n/a flymode.

Yes i have the same issue. Also when the mode is available i sometimes cant change it by tapping on it.

Same for me. I need to restart drone and/or controller. It happen when the drone is flying so i can't restar the app or the controller untill it came back:

don't disable bluetooth/put in airplane mode from inside the app. that causes the issue, also if it happens you can check to see that it also renders RC video/photo buttons not working:

Thx for your answer but i don0t think it can solve in my case: i always fly with airplane mode (so no BT) but this is happen only 2 times in about 10/12 flights. It happens while the mini is flying...

well how hard is to activate airplane mode before you open the app??? if you don't like the solution you can always fly like that or restart the app when it happens, it is up to you...

what i'm trying to say is that i always have airplane mode enabled on that phone. I sometimes enable wifi for updates...
