The Mavic Mini is my first drone, so I have no flying experience, no filming experience, and no editing experience!
This is a compilation of "test" flights near my home in Wales, UK, while I learn.

Thanks! Some of it was filmed in 1080p (because I kept forgetting to change the resolution), the rest in 2.7k, then exported as 4k.
I cut out all the non-smooth bits where the drone was caught by a gust of wind, or where I botched the smooth flying!

Watched it now on YouTube. Great video but perhaps a little too long. Brilliant steady flying though

Imagine if we could film the battles that happened during World Wars in footage like this.  Or, imagine if we can take all the molecular history from the past recorded somewhere like an in-game replay and be able to observe from any camera perspective position while being able to feel what was going on within every person on the battlefield and those observing in spirit form or such?  I honestly believe we've all been created for entertainment.  We are all created with vulnerabilities by human design and what makes people have less issues than most is the methods they have available to them.  Having drones can further make it that issues become less if knowing what to look for exist.

That's a fair point on the length. I originally had it shorter, but the audio track I chose was 13 minutes long, so I padded the end out to match!

I love the music, overtones and harmonics fascinate me... The shot with the rainbow beautiful.
The best, the shots with the dog, very nice takes and doggie!

The overhead shots of the dog with the shadows were caught by accident, and I didn't realise how good they looked until I reviewed them. It has given me more ideas to try!

Just remembered, another thing I have no experience with yet - locking the auto exposure!

There is some in the hills in the distance at 3:41! It has been a mild winter though (so far).

That's why I only flew on the non-windy days. I have had the drone for weeks, and only managed about four days flying so far!

Excuse me, how can I see videos? I am new and I don't know if it's a permit issue or I'm a fool.

I love the aerial shot of the dog play/training. Really nice idea!

Nice video!  Beautiful landscapes and inspiring to see what someone with very little experience can do with this drone.

I am DEFINITELY not an expert, but the things that I think helped my footage look smooth:
1) This might sound obvious, but be smooth and gentle with the controls. Some of my footage was filmed in C mode, most in P mode, and some of it was from S mode. Just be smooth.
2) Don’t pan. I ended up editing almost all the pans out, because they didn’t look smooth.
3) Fly when it’s not windy!
4) Edit your mistakes and non-smooth bits out!

Update - I've tried another video following a curved canal. It turns out that long, smooth turns are hard!
