I was mid flight yesterday when my mavic air disconnected and i lost full visibility on my phone. I thought at this point it would return from home but never did. I trued my best ti get closer to the drone in hopes it reconnected. I made eye contact with the drone and got right underneath it but still showed disconnected. However, i tried the control and i could still fly the drone with no help from my phone. Can anyone explain what happened? Why could i control the drone but my phone says disconnected? Why did the drone not return home after disconnecting.

My first flight with my Mini this morning. I experienced the same thing. It was my first flight and luckily it was just hovering above me and I could lower and catch it.
