Ok I sent my range extender in to be replaced. Im going to bet on it taking six weeks to get the new one. But considering that Dji said they will replace it for free that sounds pretty good. So what should I do to keep my batteries in good working order while I wait? I could fly it with out the camera but I don't like to because I can't check the home point. Thanks.

The rear LED's give you all the information you need (not every Phantom has telemetry and they still fly).
If you have the auto-discharge batteries then there is nothing you need to do, if not then a short 10 min flight will bring them down to a safe storage level.
