Hi, since I don't have a powerful phone, I was thinking of connecting the Osmo Pocket to the Lilliput a5 field monitor that I have.  I have ordered a USB C to HDMI cable from amazon which is yet to arrive.  Any one tried this before ? Does this work ?

If the field monitor is a android or apple device probably.  I connect an Android tablet sometimes when using it via a female usb-c to male usb-c.  If the device is only an HDMI monitor, then you can get video, but not control on the Monitor.  There are variouis hubs and stand alone adapters that have either a usb-c to HDMI video out or equivalent for apple ios.  Then you could probably use the wifi adapter to control with phone.  Not sure that all works out, but you could try.  The Mokin hub I got on Amazon includes several connections a cable usb-c to connect to phone, sd card slots, usb slots, and can be used with out power or you can plug in bypass power from a power adapter or portable power pack.

Thank you all, the very idea of the pocket is it’s simplicity. I love it for that. Just that sometimes when it misses focus, it’s disappointing. I think I need to buy a newer phone, instead of the work around. Soon. Thank you all, again. Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for the suggested work around. But a bit pricey and not so suitable for shooting situations. But may be a great tool for online streaming? Video calls? Lot to explore. I appreciate it. Merry Christmas. And a happy new year to you all.
