I'd love to hear suggestions on how to improve.  Bare with the low res picture,  Had some bad settings.  Only second day flying.

I would get more sky in the frame, or shoot from a lower altitude if you want the lake in as well. What were your camera settings?

Thanks for the information about the sky,  I was quite nervous to go lower over water,  But I do agree it should have been lower.  I am unsure about the settings at the time.

If of use it is possible that the camera settings were recorded in the photo's exif data. There are plenty of Exif dadtg viewers out there, I use Picture Information Extractor.

The sky was pretty much uninteresting, so wouldn’t be to worried about that, 1/3 sky when it’s interesting is probably about right, remember you can also turn camera gimbal up I think between 20/30% this will save you going to low.
The low res doesn’t help, but we all can imagine this probably looks twice as good as we see it here.

Great job you obviously have some good instincts about what you’re trying to achieve.

Tips not suggestions... you might find interesting:

Framing in video is perceived differently than in photos, move your tracked subjects along the crossing lines and off center.
Try stitching imagew together or try different level of exposure (bracketing) to combine in post.
Fly FPV... is fun

I like it a lot. I would have liked to see a little bit more of the lake, but it's a very nice scenery. It's great to see the far away mountains with the haze in the distance and the blue color on it. Look like the camera from the mini has a very good dynamic range. What type of processing did you do to the photo?

Fantastic picture ! most people use the rule of thirds so 2/3rds floor 1/3 sky but you should be well chuffed with that picture well done amd looking forward to your next pics!
I love how the eye is drawn through the picture to the mountains in the back centre ! lovely colour too very pleasing on the eye

Thank you.  I feel like I have learned a lot since that picture.  I only had the drone for two days.  Still learning but a day does not go by that I do not fly.

Photoshop.  To be honest I don, mainly because my wife was a photographer for ten years and she did all the edits.  I do it now but I still can't get that look.
