Rant, Incoming.
I am VERY unhappy.
Let me start by saying that I am an extraordinarily tech savvy person. I have never come across a tech product that I didn't have mostly figured out within a few hours. That includes hardware and software. So, either DJI made it so unbelievably convoluted to be able to do this, or it doesn't actually exist, as it is supposed to.
I bought my DJI Osmo Action mostly for Livestreaming and Vlogging, with filming my adventures being secondary. I was so excited to get it home. This was six or seven days ago. I STILL have not been able to Livestream, or even to get to an options menu for livestreaming on either the Osmo Action itself, or on the DJI Mimo app. It simply is not there.
Yes, I have the latest firmware installed on my camera.
Yes, I have the latest version of the unbelievably shoddy DJI Mimo app.
Yes, I have visited the DJI forums and done everything that was suggested.
This "Livestream Options" menu that they speak of on this forum simply does not exist on either my Osmo Action or the DJI Mimo app on my phone.
I am LIVID.
I am going to return it, NEVER buy a DJI product again, and advise my friends to stay away from DJI as well, unless there is some sort of miraculous thing that happens which allows me to Livestream within the next 24 hours or so, because I have been attempting to do it for the past WEEK.
