I tried to record in H.265 (who wouldn't when the air 2 arrives.. ) . But when I transfer the file from my memory card - SanDisk Extrem Pro 32GB - too my MacBook Pro, the video get laggy.

But it plays fine in the app and on the telephone.

Someone who know what to do? Is it something wrong/missing codec in my computer?

Only the very latest MacBook Pros can play H265,  you'll probably need to create proxy files if you're editing.

Ok. Mine is mid 2014. The might be the Mac that cause the problem then..

Check your screen refresh rate. In case the footage is recorded at 24,25 FPS you might see some lag due to that. It should be fine when recording in 30 FPS however.

My Mac is set to 60 HZ refresh rate:
24  / 25 FPS: Lag
30 / 60 FPS: No Lag
However I want to point out I'm using H264 for the Mini and this might be a completely different issue here!

Ok. Where do you find that settings?

I have lag in my video as well, it only happens on recorded video, not in the phone cache: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7zKwF7GgDM&t=161s&ab_channel=TimGalos

Guys, the decoding of H265 is not so HW consuming as you think...
Is related to the player that use IGP/GPU decoding or CPU decoding...in case of CPU decoding you will get a lag and strange behavior as the CPU is not made for this...I have played H265 on 7 years old computer with INTEL Celeron CPU (waaaay lower than I3), 4 Gb Ram, HDD and video card Nvidia MX...You need a more powerful system for play in 4K on actual 4K displays, but if you adjust the video at screen size and resolution from player, will work.
Try POT PLAYER for GPU decoding and resizing if needed...
Also be advised that your refresh rate must be multiple of video Frame Rate....if you export a video at 30 FPS, you need a refresh rate of 60-90 or 120 Hz....If you have 100Hz at a video with 30 FPS, you will see a lot of micro-skipping in image as display will skip frames in order to adjust it to the refresh rate of screen.
PS. The files from phone are low res (max HD), so will work OK...
PPS. The playback from phone at downloaded movie H.265 is resized at the phone screen size, need a very small computing power.

The computer hardware cannot be the problem, as the automated Quickshots play fine, but a manual run of the exact same route with the same camera settings becomes laggy. It's a software issue with the MA2 itself.

Try a Quickshot, see if you get lag on that, and rule out your graphics card.

Nah.  H265 isn’t supported on Mac’s intel chips until 2019 or later.  On the m1’s it’s super smooth I hear just like the new iPads.

It is fixable if you allow your editor to make Proxies.
