I put togther a short video on the "Video Subtitles" (Settings > Camera > Advanced Camera Settings > Video Subtitles) option in the DJI Fly app. I think it's a useful feature to have camera/telemetry data embedded in the video file but there is very little information to be found about it. Hopefully you will find this helpful.
Someone pointed out to me that when the option is turned on for the Mavic Air 2 the data actually gets stored in a separate .SRT file, rather than embedded. Curious. Wonder if it's due to limited processing power on the Mini.
i knew this existed somehow, but never really looked into it. I didn't understand what was actually meant by subtitles, and didn't put 2 and 2 together that it was built into an actual subtitle for some reason. I originally thought it would show all the time regardless. Thanks for clearing it up!

Yeah, when I first looked at it I thought exactly the same thing. I turned it on expecting something to happen and nothing did. Maybe it needs a better name?

Very informative video. I bought my MM about a week ago and I was wondering what "Video Subtitles" was.
Thanks to you, I don't have to wonder anymore
Hello there Steve. Thank you for reaching out and for sharing this useful feature on the DJI Mavic Mini. Again you did an amazing work. Thank you and please stay safe always.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm the one who created the subtitle extraction tool in your video. You can also use this other tool to visualize the SRT data on a map and convert it to other formats like GPX

Hi, I recommend the tool:
Its open source and you can run in your pc, good for large files.
- Steps:
MP4Box -info input.mp4 (to extract track id of text:text)
MP4Box -srt <trackID> input.mp4 (generate file with subtitles coordinates)
