I like to customize my DJI drones and just finished skinning my MA2, with a DecalGirl "combustion". I am happy with the results and look forward to flying tomorrow.

Personal preference obviously but I think that color is so damn ugly!  I am glad you like it though.  You should keep us up to date after a few uses and let us know how well it stays adhered.  

I wonder if handling the controller will have any effect on the skin.

I have skinned several times with this company product and found them to be durable, with no effect on aircraft or controller. It does improve visibiiity and uniqueness.
