Just got my combo, got surprised with batteries charging really AFTER each other.
So to the pilots using it already some time:
The description from -store dji com-
"Charging Time: About 1 hour and 40 minutes (subject to temperature)

is that for all three or more like just for one of 'em?

Thanks for a quick answer.

In case it is just for one:
Solution to get all three charged in ~2 hours, instead of 4.5+ ?

This is standard behaviour for the DJI HUbs, they charge the batteries sequentially starting with the battery with the highest remaining capacity.

Depends on how much capacity remains in the batteries on the hub.  If you have 3 batteries with the following remaining capability, A 35%, B 25%, C 42%.  It will charge in the sequence C A B.  When C hits 100% it starts on A when that hits 100% it starts B.

If you put 1 empty battery on charge it will take 1.40 to charge. So you can work it out from there. Yes it charges battery with most power first and so on.
It is slow so give your self plenty of time. Also remember after 24hrs battery will reduce power by 4% to avoid swelling and all batteries will go into hibernation after 5 days.

They don’t go into hibernation after 5 says, they discharge to approx 60%

Thanks to all, I figured it out, already.
After I came back from my maiden flight, the 2 others were still charging.
For quicker charging I would need another DJI charger.

Mmmmhhhh, somone has already seen some 3 party options?
Preferable with QC3/PD charger involved?
Which would make em work even with a powerbank?

Thanks!

That's not necessarily true...the Spark hub charges all three at the same time.

The input charge needs to be 38W, there aren't many powerbanks that can delivery that

Yep, that was my assumption here too!
Like with the Spark batteries, one gets  full charging power and the other two "half"(?), till the first is full.
3 batteries in about the doubled time from one. If I remember that right.

So the Air 2 Hub is a convenience thing, the batteries don't need to get changed after one got recharged.
Good, in most situations that will be ok.  4.5 h ist not a problem, lets say over night.

I just wonder a bit, that the DJI charger isn't delivering 60W, to charge one @ full speed and a second one already  with half.
And I have already a RAV- 45W PD Powerbank, could easily get a Xiaomi 3 Pro PD 45W also.
Just to name 2.
Also a PD charger-adapter for the batteries could let me use my normal PD charger, too

Aside that there more and more of these powerbanks are coming up.
As more PD is in use for Notebook charging,  more and more people will have them!

Nope, this is hibernation mode

10. Hibernation Mode: The battery switches off after 20 minutes of inactivity to save power. If the battery level is
less than 5%, the battery enters Hibernation mode to prevent over-discharge after being idle for six hours. In Hibernation mode, the battery level indicators do not illuminate. Charge the battery to wake it from hibernation.

Yep - put three batteries on the hub with around 15% charge remaining on each - flip the switch and come back around 4.5 - 5 hours later and you'll find three fully charged batteries giving a combined max of 1 hour, 42 minutes flight time. It auto stops the charge after the third one reaches full charge so ideal for overnight charging. You can also recharge the remote simultaneously. The charge time on the MA2 is one of it's few con's IMO but the hub adds a lot of convenience.

Yeah...and add at the top of page 25:
Auto-Discharging Function: To prevent swelling, the battery automatically discharges to 96% of the battery level when it is idle for one day, and automatically discharges to 60% of the battery level when it is idle for five days.

I didn’t say “fool” I said confusing... which is what the person asking for clarity was, because you made a reference to the wrong manual.

Exactly you presumed I was trying to confuse others , and considering I made no reference or post to Rustic, shows it’s not a problem for you to stick your foot in your mouth.

I never said you did it on purpose, and I’m sorry if anyone thought you did - that was not my intention! I was just pointing out that it was ‘confusing’ others that were reading this thread.

Can you chill out a bit - I was not having a go at you

My reference came from a battery manual, all dji drones come with a battery manual, but Id just noticed Air2 didn’t have battery manual installed on app, so my reference came from M2 Battery manual, I presumed both batteries were similar so instructions would be similar.

Guys ("lads and gals"), please calm.
My apology for asking a question to this, I should and could just have waited for the other 2 to charge.
Along with the fact that the first one alone needed quite some time to 100%, which was somehow the frustrating answer, already.
(And the reason for having the time to ask, in the first place, which was in reality more of a complain, I realize now. ;-)

So: Seems like nothing changed in the forums, after a new bird has arrived.
Happy sunday y'all

Hello there S-e-ven. Thank you for reaching out and for these information you have shared with us. The DJI Mavic Air 2 Battery Charging Hub enhances efficiency by charging the DJI Mavic Air 2 intelligent flight batteries in sequence according to their remaining power level, with more fully-charged batteries receiving power first. In addition the said charging hub charges 3 intelligent flight batteries in sequence. Thank you.
