By disconnecting do you mean screen goes blank and then the FLY app restarts. This has happened to me a couple of times, before and after 1.1.4 update. Because I have "Camera View" set to "ON" the time from black screen back to live video feed from MA2 is just around 3-6 seconds. Rebooting the phone just prior to launching the FLY app seems to reduce the likelihood of this event.

In my case it was not that DJI Fly app would go down.
It would still function but it would display message that RC is disconnected from mobile. Of course I could not see what the drone was doing becasue there was no transmission between RC and mobile.
In first case, when I disconnected cable between RC and mobile and conneted it again, the connection resumed.
In second case the connection resumed after few seconds without me doing anything.
However, throughout this time, I had full control over AC - it did react to my stick commands (it was close enough so I could see it).
I believe that DJI Fly 1.1.4 was faulty. It was upgraded to 1.1.5 by DJI few days after it was released. Something must have been not quite right to prompt such a quick upgrade.
I have 1.1.5 installed now and will see if any of these issues will happen again.
