Taken today with my Mavic Air 2 over the stunning countryside of the Chilterns, river thames, the lock and Temple Island where the world famous Henley regatta offically begins.

There are seven locations within a 30 minute drive that I have flown so many times so I decided to properly explore where I could go and did a bit of research on google and google maps - this area was an hour away by car but OMG - what a stunning place and nobody in sight so stretched the wings and got these shots and quite a bit of 4K-HDR video too (files are way too big to upload on here). I would never have known this place existed if I didn't own a drone! Bigger the effort, bigger the reward mate! The drone performed brilliantly even in 20mph winds at 400' AGL just on the tip of VLOS

I've got a friend who lives a stone's throw from Stonehenge.
He complains that there is no where to fly in Salisbury plain.. maybe he and you could meet up so someone could get his drone up in the air..?

Great shots.  Looks like a great place to visit.

Hahahaha - yep, the 4K30-HDR creates some massive files and four batteries giving out around 25-30 minutes each. It's a lot of flying. Think I'll start pairing the batteries now and take two out at a time.

Stonehenge is practically a sacred spot in England. It's a Prehistoric monument dating to around 3,100BC - flying drones there is a major no go. So I understand his frustration having so much open space around him and not being able to fly. That said, there are many places in Wiltshire where he can fly like the round way hills. I live in London which is over 100 miles away from there. It's somewhere I tend to visit may be once a year.
