As a new DJI user, I'm just wondering if I have to update the firmware if the app says it needs to? My first DJI experience was a few weeks ago with an Inspire 1. I updated everything to the latest firmware, calibrated comapss, IMU and generally crossed all the T's and dotted the i's. The result was a flyaway on the maiden flight. I've got 1 flight into a new P3 now and it worked flawlessly, I'm just wondering if I should abide by the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" All I did was calibrate compass. Suggestions? I don't want to show up at a flying location and the app won't let me fly or something. Thanks in advance.

No. You can wait and upgrade later. That's good practice too if you're wary about installing new updates as soon as they are rolled out.
