Unless you need extra distance and there is substantial increase in distance; lot of work.
Appears most of work is in getting two halves of remote seperated.

One thing noticed, and feel needs a caution.  When using tweezers to pry up the internal antenna wire, person pryed directly against board.
Suggest putting a firm pad between board and tweezers to prevent damage to board and it's foil runs (visible or hidden in layers).

I looked on YouTube to see if anyone had a real world test of this mod, no luck.  I certainly don't need this, but the geek in me would like to know.  A warranty killer for sure.

I installed a 4Hawks SR on my MA1..  Wasn't worth it in my opinion. Definitely not bothering with this one.

I did find one video of this applied to a M2P(?), and the pilot seemed to get a 7x range increase in a very urban setting.  

Definitely consideration worthy if you want to deliver chocolate bars for a Space Station crew ...

Yeah, so if I'm flying my stock M2P 5 km away with no issue in urban jungle, he's making 35 km, right?

Looks like a recipe for disaster to me, he keeps saying be careful but he looks ham fisted , still you can always buy a new controller when you've knackered the first one.

You gotta get back ....... One video I watched along with many of you...the guy flew out till he had 48% battery reading,  turned around and headed back.  I think he went not quite 4 miles out......when he got back.....as he was flying within 500ft of the home point his battery was reading ZERO and he was using the left stick (throttle ) UP to keep it from auto landing in that last 500ft.....

If you do the long range test, then you should have a person at a distant landing zone so you DON'T need to fly back......

Yea ummm, thats just a video I found on YouTube.

I installed 4hawk Raptor SR antenna on MA1, and it did a great job.
However for MA2, and especially with Ocusync, that kind of things are not needed.
I can't even let my MA2 go far beyond around 6~7km thinking of battery to come back.
To make this kind of mod worth would definitely need to charge battery up in the air during the flight.

Too much DJI for me.

Plus here in Europe we can not go far at all (legally), so we have a bit different view on range demands...
