Hello all,

My office let me borrow an older drone to 'play with.'  I haven't been able to get the 'follow-me' function to work so I thought I'd try the upgrades it's been bugging me about.  The remote upgraded fine but now I dont' see any way to upgrade the aircraft or camera.  It tells me updates are required but I can't figure out how to download or install them; there is no button to download.  I've been searching for a solution but haven't found one.  Tried uninstalling the app, tried a different phone, restarting the remote & aircraft, etc.  Any suggestions?

what device are you trying to update ?

My bad.  I was posting to the Phantom 3 Pro forum so I thought it would be understood.

The drone appears to be updating.  I made the mistake of reading the 'Firmware Upgrade Guide.'  Page 4 states: If your remote controller firmware is v1.3.20 or above you must use the DJI GO app to update the firmware.  The page heading is "using a Micro SD Card to update the aircraft.'  Based on that statement and the fact that I'm running 1.9.2 I assumed I would have to use the app.  Apparently that is not the case.

I'll let you know what happens.

As a matter of interest, does the "Follow Me" work now? Mine doesn't on mt P4A so I use Litchi if I ever need it.

Sounds like you might not have read the manual that covers most of the procedures etc.  Don't worry, it wasn't included in the box, you are expected to find out about it by yourself somehow.  It will contain 95% of all the answers to the majority of problems you face, the rest can be solved by those of us still on the forum.  https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _Manual_v1.8_en.pdf
