today i have made a range test.
The facts are:
-Unpopulated area
-300 m above sea level
-Straight line flight
-Recording and take some photos ,in the half of the flight
-Normal mode flight
-Landed with 26% battery and 54 degrees Celsius temperature
-Smooth mode transmission
-5.760 meters and i have 2 bars of signal before i have to return it home .

Yep - the drone will reach 6KM in a CE area under those conditions.

mine does not make more than 1km in line without obstacles. I do not know what's happening.

Also here..500m above mountain, traveled 3000m straight, set at SMOOTH instead of HD on phone, signal still 2 lines. Sometimes dropped at red for a second but i believe just changed to 2.4 Ghz. Camed back with 60% battery, so...it is good.
