I recently received my MM and love it so far. My big problem is my dog. He barks like crazy and chases my drone whenever it takes off. I really like hiking with him and hoped there was some way to calm him down so we can hike together. I don't want my dog or my drone to get hurt. He's a 50 pound lab/pitt/mutt if that matters.

Dog in house, Drone outside ?

I wanted to hike with him, so not really what I was looking for. I was hoping to learn how to get him accustomed to it so he won't try to attack it.

Feed him a treat every time you start. It won't take long for him to look forward to it.

Get the drone in the air and put it a couple of hundred feet up. It's not the drone they dislike but the noise.

Most dogs are food driven... use treats.  Eventually the dog will associate the drone with treats.

I guess I'm lucky.  My dog couldn't care less...  He ignores it completely.

He's not the smartest, so he might want to attack it more after that lol

It didn’t work on my old pit Lola when she grabbed my M2P out of the sky.  She was unfazed, and still hated it.  Treats eventually worked... but it took time.  Miss you Lola.

Hello there traczpasruchu. Thank you for reaching out and I am sorry for the trouble this has caused. I hope that you will get the best recommendation from our fellow DJI co pilots who had the said scenario as you and how they manage to fix it. Thank you and fly safe always.

With a little practice, you can use the MM as an exercise trainer.  ...although my dog seems to have more energy than the MM.

I think I'll wait on that until I have another drone lol. For now he'll have to settle for sticks and tennis balls.

Hello
I have dogs (mixed breed and golden retriever), the posts # 9 and # 20 for me are the ones that best solved this little problem, let the dog smell your drone (of course, don't give it to bite!), use the command "leave" or "let" and give him a treat, he better associates verbs of one or two syllables.
These commands is for everything, they associated well, as long as we gave them in exchange for a snack

I wish you good luck, have patience, after all they live so little. And believe me, he loves you very much and just wants to protect you from this threatening thing ...

Hugs
