I finally decided my piloting skills were good enough to do this, so today I tried to orbit a 150m tall antenna. Got somewhat nervous when avoidance sensors went down the moment I begun orbiting, as it was too dark, but still did a few orbits. I think I was at about 5 metres or so, as per the airdata flight logs.

Enjoy!

Oh, "Sale con Fritas" is an Argentinian expression which means that it will be getting done no sweat. I'm not entirely sure how to properly translate it to English while preserving its original meaning and intent.

Thanks!

Yeah, I was a bit on edge while orbiting. But the weather was nice, and there was no real cause for concern as I had that volume around the antenna fully explored for cables, or small pointy stuff I could have collided with. I could not quite judge distance to target though, as I had no way to determine distance based on apparent size.

I wonder if avoidance sensors are able to detect antenna towers well enough as to avoid a collision.
