As you can't buy batteries or props anymore and the last firmware update was in July 2017 I'll let you decide

You can buy batteries but it's expensive. Firmware doesn't matter because it's been settled with.

Unfortunately no official DJI reseller in the UK sales any Inspire 1 accessories now. The product was discontinued in May 2018 and DJI stopped selling anything for it in Dec '18. I guess it is worth it if you buy one for around £500 on Ebay but to pay what was full retail for an Inspire 1 today would be insane.

They show how they got around the battery issue,  there is a company that will replace all the cells in your batteries with new ones for less than $200.

But it would have to be at the £500 mark to get me interested tbh.

I wouldn't bother mate - I've owned two Inspire 1's. They were truly awesome but we are talking about a drone first announced in November 2014. The X3 doesn't come close to the camera on your M2P and if you went with the M2P for portability then the Inspire 1 will be a shock - the case weighs around 10KG fully loaded.

One can still squeeze a wonderful aerial imagery with Inspire 1 these days, but only when equipped with nothing less than X5R camera delivering CinemaDNG footage. If not that, the bird itself is a cumbersome, difficult to maintain relict of the past ...

If it was cheap enough Id ike one for the novelty of it,  but I would be very careful where I flew it as I wouldn't have faith in the batteries it came with.
