Hey all

I've got myself a smart controller and my son wants to watch the camera screen, sometimes he's sat inside the car while I'm out flying.

I've got a cable that's hdmi to USB-C, can I use this to display the smart controller screen on his phone?

He uses Android, do I need a 'viewer' app to display the screen?

Is to possible this way or are there any other ways?

Hi. Thank you for reaching out to DJI Forum. With regards to this query. I am sorry to say that the external display or devices will need to have an HDMI port to connect to the DJI Smart Controller. Thank you.

You might be able to wirelessly cast from the SC to your son's phone.

You would need to do the following

1) Set up a hotspot on his phone
2) Connect the SC to the wireless hotspot
3) Install the Apowermirror app https://play.google.com/store/ap ... mirror&hl=en_AU on his phone
4) Install Apowermirror on the SC by sideloading the .APK file it, https://apkpure.com/apowermirror ... m.apowersoft.mirror
5) Run both Apowermirror apps, and cast from the one on the SC
6) Then use DJI Go4 the normal way

Is the black screen on the phone, is it after they have connected ?
What phone are you using ?
Can you verify that the SC has connected to the phone hotspot ?


Maybe create the hotspot from the SC and connect the phone to it ?

When casting from the SC, does the phone appear in the apowermirror app as a casting selection ?

Phone needs to have the apowermirror app up and running first, the SC will then search for the phone when it's opened on the SC ?
