Whenever I turn my controller on now, it constantly beeps for a long period of time, and then stops. No warnings come up, just the beeping from the controller.

I have the Mavic 2 Zoom. If I turn on the controller and smartphone the DJI App launches. If I then switch on the drone, lengthy beeping occurs until the controller links with the drone. Pressing the link button on the drone shortens this process. However, if I switch the drone on first and THEN launch the App, it links immediately. Is this what you are experiencing?

Yep - turn on the RC first, then the drone then connect the phone and launch the app.
