Being a US highway, it would have had a bridge, just not as big as the new bridge. I wonder if the change in pavement marks where the old bridge started. I was not in the area then.

Seems like a logical assumption, on closer inspection. Too busy a road for a ford.

There are some fords in the area. Perhaps I'll go photograph one if the weather gets a little nicer. Right now, they might not be cross able.
