took a photo with the drone. I can see it in my flight log as a photo. But cannot find it anywhere on the IPad. I know it is there.

It should be on your SD card not the iPad directly so check for it there! At least I haven't figured out a way to drop images directly to the iPad without transferring from the SD card.
