Colors are really starting to pop in my neck of the woods - some trees haven't started turning colors while others are in the process or even have already lost their leaves. The variety in color really makes for some great scenery. Here are some of my favorites from the past couple weeks:


This was taken at Rowena Crest in the Columbia Gorge in Oregon. The road winds up to the viewpoint, making for some really interesting lines.


This is an alder forest for the most part--but the few disidous trees that haven't lost their leaves gives a few bright splotches of color.


This tree is actually right in my backyard. The way sun hits it creates a variation in how much the leaves have turned on different parts of the tree.


This was actually taken from my porch while I was working on locking in some settings on the camera. The linden trees right now are a stark yellow against the grey skies of the PNW.


And one more from Rowena Crest. Maybe a dinosaur head?

Thanks! Those were taken after the sun had set, so the light wasn't great, but I really want to go back some morning to catch the morning light on the trees.
