I updated my MA2 to this FW and if I use "HD" transmission mode, I get frozen or no video at all.   That said I do get fewer frame drops/pixelation with "Smooth" mode but "HD" mode is broken.

Nevermind.  I turned off controller, drone and rebooted phone and all working again.

I'm getting the dodgy video on the android device in HD mode, even after fully rebooting all devices.

I update two days and ran a couple of test flights.  All seems to be working properly with Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.0460, Remote Controller: v02.00.1101 & DJI Fly App iOS: v1.2.0.

I have a problem, when you fly forward, backward, gimble jumps. I speak very little English. I attach a video. I didn't fly in sport mode, the quadcopter didn't fall, and I updated the firmware.
Has anyone ever encountered this?

He lay in the box for a long time, did not notice this on the old firmware, flew only in warm weather.

I have a mavic air 2 combo which Ive owned since July. I have flown my drone many times and recharged the controller many times before as well. Then, the other day when I plugged my controller in to charge it, it blinked a couple of times and then did nothing. As you can see in the video that is what I mean. I bought it off of apple and they want me to send everything back, however the drone it’s self and everything else is perfect, just the controller that has the problem which is why I don’t really want to have to send it all off. Is there any way in which I can fix the issue myself, or just send the controller off to be fixed?

Did four flights (using four batteries) yesterday and the performance was spotty at best. At times, it would work fine, though at other the lag between the video transmission and actual gimbal movement rendered the drone unusable for filming / taking photos. Flight commands still continued being responsive in real time, just the video feed was off.

While it was quite hot (35-40 degrees Celsius) I doubt it was that as I've flown it previously in similar (while lower) temperatures without issues. If anything I suspected the culprit might be the phone overheating because as soon as I put a screen shade over the controller (and phone) the issues mostly went away (not fully though). Drone orientation after compass calibration wasn't perfect either.

I'll keep on monitoring / troubleshooting this though I suspect something really went off with the latest update(s).

Update gets to 40% then disconnects the Mavic air 2 and fails the install. Tried on iPad Pro and IPhone XS Max. No luck. Dji fly 1.2.1

Since the update the Micro USB RC Cable won't work with my Galaxy S6.The S6 can't connect with the RC.

Apk ver - 1.1.10 (prev one)
RC ver - 02.00.1101
MA2 - 01.00.0340 (not updated to newest one)
Android 10 (Moto G8)

Yesterday 2h flight time. No problem notice with MA2.

Does anybody with Android make update of apk and MA2 ?
Any issue ocure with flight or DJI fixed all issues already ?

Just tested again. 2000 Ft. Blank screen, RC lost. Took a while for Return home to kick in. Its getting scary! Thought I lost it.

VIDEO FEED issues. Performed firmware update and now I am having issues similar to what others are experiencing. Video feed freezes or just black.  Very annoying. Hope a patch is released soon.

Updated with the smart controller no problem so far

However, I have FIXED the problem by downgrading the DJI Fly app to v1.1.9.

HD transmission is now functioning as expected.

Downgrade DJI Fly app to v1.1.9 - it fixed the issue for my MA2.

Hi, the problem depends on the remote controller firmware v02.00.1101. My ASUS Zenphone too lost the connection with the controller after the update . It would be possible to downgrade, because approx. for 10 days ago it was enabled, but now is this option disabled in the DJI Assistant 2.  There are some alternative firmware tools, but they don't work with this controller. The only option is to use another compatible phone. :-(

I have upgraded the DJI Fly app on my Sony XA2 Ultra to v1.1.10 - the HD transmission video quality issue DOES NOT appear with this version. I'm sticking with it until I hear otherwise from this forum or Mavic Pilots forum.

Yes - same issue here. Controls also seem less responsive, and maximum speed / acceleration under "normal" mode also appear to be greatly reduced.

the problem is in the gimbal bearing.  bearing grease freezes, it must be lubricated.  dji do not recognize the problem, and give stupid advice.  very upset about the dji service.

A word of note, after upgrading the firmware double check to see in the DJI Fly app that Auto Sync HD Photos is on. If not On you won't be able to see your photos when not connected to the drone. I tested this out because I couldn't see my photos later on the phone when not flying. I tested On then Off and found that only when ON that the Fly app retained the photo. Videos being retained wasn't an issue. "Auto Sync HD Photos" on off switch is under "Camera" presets.

New uptake screwed my vidio feedback up. Any idea how to factory reset my mavic air 2?

That's what happened to me today! New plane fourth flight! At home, I noticed that the sticker was on the back of the gimbal! I haven't had time to try again. Could this have caused the problem??   

So far, so good. Using iPhone 6s Plus.

I noticed after this update that I no longer have control of speed or altitude during smart RTH.

Anyone else notice this change or miss this feature?

The current user manual still lists this a capability during RTH, would love to have the ability to do this again, tried looking through settings and could not find anything.

When are you going to update the firmware so that users can use third party apps such as Litchi?

I'm using firmware 460 on MA2 with Fly 121 on Android. I have noticed a jerkiness in the video signal being sent back to the phone by the drone. The video on the memory card in MA2 is fine. I've also noticed that the bank angle is reduced a little in forward turns with the left stick.

Mavic air 2 is trash
