Tooks a road trip last week and stopped by the USS Hornet. With a lot of museums and other places closed it's a good opportunity to fly over places that would otherwise be full of crowds.

They're about 494 miles from each other. Just a sunday drive away.

I'm always amazed by the sheer size of the states in your country.  That's almost the full length of England ( excluding Wales and Scotland)

Very nice footage.     USS Hornet saw lots of service during WW II.  Interesting fact that she was also the recovery vessel for the Apollo 11 and 12 astronauts.  USS Hornet was small (only 820 feet long) when compared to the newest US Navy carrier (1106 feet long).
