It was indeed very dark. Just the glow of the sun still standing.
The surroundings were hardly to see. No lights except those at the houses.

Taken at 18:15, sunset is at 17:55 here today

Thank you Gamora,

picture is taken near Penampang, Sabah, Malaysia.

End of the day with a bit of Mansoon rain, very dark clouds, no lights in the "Kampung", just those of the ones at the houses.

I did. On the original picture the foreground is total black.

I could have done that. On automatic it would have. I did not want to mess up the atmosphere and not ruin the sunset, I took a faster shutterspeed. The sun was gone down already and just a reflection on the clouds was still visible. Pulling up the light to get the foreground would have burned out the sunset and make the lights of the houses too bright. Of course that is my opinion.

I could have used AEB to have a wider range.

A bit different version ... BTW, I've discovered strange purple-ish smudges on heavily shadowed parts of the ground. Is it a DJI-baked peg stitch?

I was thinking AEB indeed!
Maybe next time if nature gives you one of those again

JPG it is. I had the settings for pictures to RAW+JPEG, but strangly when you switch to Pano, you need to set the pano mode (again) to RAW+JPEG.
A couple of seconds later it was dark as hell. So, I couldn't start all over. It's just a couple of degrees from the equator here, so the sun comes up and goes down in a couple of minutes time.
Next time I'll try out the RAW pictures.

well it is mansoon time. So, heavy clouds. I'll get the next chance to do some testing in the next couple of days.
