been through all the options on both the display and the controller, cannot seem to get the full screen to show up.  Works fine on a television, however will only show a small box on this display.

The blue background looks like the Windows Screen of Death!  It may be system default color for empty space.  An incompatible resolutions and scaling your aspect ratio could be your issue.  Your controller screen appears to be a different aspect ratio than the external display.  I would try to adjust the external displays ration in it's settings menu if it has one.  If that does not work try the resolution.  Sometime if the two are not compatible a monitor will by default downscale the input.

Hi, kcole0929. Sorry to read about the difficulties you're having. Do you recall if you had the same setup on your TV (settings, resolutions, HDMI Cable, etc.)? If there are variables that have been changed, you can apply it to your external monitor to see if that works. As suggested by JohnLietzke, you can also alter the aspect ratio of your external monitor or use different resolutions, if possible.
