Just made a cheap "Heli-Pad" for my P3 out of a wood cutting board and some tape...

Anyone use a heli-pad?

I have my Phantom in a wheeled Pelican case and have been using it as the helipad so that I don't have to carry anything extra.

if I'm somewhere where I can't just set the bird on the ground I'll just use my camera bag as a pad to take off and then just a hand recovery when I come in to land

I've seen that one, its nice but too expensive. This one I made was less than $10
