Hayfield village nestles in the valley below the Dark Peak, and Kinder Scout, on the moorlands of North Derbyshire.
It it the logical place to begin the circular trek taking in Jacob's Ladder, the Trig point, the Scout,  Downfall and
Mermaid's Pool, on the way back via Upper House and Kinder Rervoir - if you take the anti-clockwise route.
This is not a hike for the faint-hearted, but is immensely popular for its spectacular views.
The take-off point for this flight is marked with a red star on the map.
We start with a view of the village itself, then the first shot of the hills has Kinder Scout on the extreme left.

Bleak but still very nice area. A bit Scottish again.

Good. Did you have the Pocket (1)? I got it this spring and love it. Don't see much reason to switch to the 2.

Hi Depp. No, it's the first of these devices I've owned.  Tried a few shots indoors this evening as a test and everything seems to work OK.

Well, have fun with it. I use it for close-ups and slow-motion. Timelapses work great as well.
