I was knowing, that MA2 is really robust, after crashing my quadcopter into a bush and only had to change one propeller.
But know i just found this video:

Makes you wonder why the hell he would be flying that low to come back. Surely you would hover above you and land...

The logical approach to landing a drone, yes. Not coming in like a fighter jet at zero feet

Exactly, haha. Especially in poor visibility.

Hehe, that looks exactly like something I would do, even though I am probably 40 years older ;-) All the way from crashing it to repairing it myself. The only difference is that I would probably have opted for the camera/gimbal assembly. But I see now that he just replaced the cable. I do think he should have replaced the gimbal housing instead of gluing it but I guess that assembly is not yet available anywhere.

Hello there MySky. Thank you for reaching out and for posting this video. Just a reminder that if a crash happened to your DJI Drone. I is best to contact our DJI Support team for us to be able to assist and fix the said DJI Drone. DJI also do not recommend doing a DIY in fixing the said DJI drone to avoid further damaging the said unit and voiding the warranty. Thank you and fly safe always.

Yes and with to much selfconfidence one can easily lose caution. Low lite conditins and water - challenging for drone and optical sensors. Despite the fact that GPS should have saved drone from this uncommanded drop.

There's only so much automatic protection the manufacturer can build into the machine. If the operator is determined to ignore the risks and push the machine beyond its limits, he must accept the potential consequences.

Whenever I fly out any distance (VLOS of course!) I always hit RTH when I've finished. Less work for the pilot. Cancel autolanding when it arrives overhead and land manually.

If i see it, i like bringing it back manually, in case isee something interesting along the way.

If that occurs, I just cancel RTH and the drone hovers in place.

That too. I used to fly some cheap 40$ quads so used to manually RTH. For me, RTH is more a safety feature.

When I fly at sunset and it is getting too dark for landing turning on the LED seems to give off enough light for the downward sensors to work again.

I almost never use RTH, only when really needed. Otherwise what is the point of flying?

"Sponsored" video :-)  Geez.  Some people need protecting from themselves.  I think the forum would have benefited more from a well paced repair video showing the complexity of fixing a seemingly repair..... that isn't.

Thanks.

It's always interesting to see how a thread drifts away, if people don't read a post properly or a thread completely, just to be the first one to proof their half knowledge.

But to confuse you guys a litte more, really correct would be:
Its not her video! She was just sharing it..

It's not only the boys who can deal with drones, there are even a lot of girls out there which are able to build their own drones and can fly them as well.

Sorry, if someone feels offended.

But for those who asked, here is disassembling video i'd like to share and if you want to reassemble your drone, just reverse the steps.

The LED auxiliary light will turn on automatically before landing if that is in your setting.
