When aircraft is stolen, since it is necessary to use the app, are DJI able to help in locating it?

Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks

I can see there are battery and camera SN registered in the flight logs.
Did you register your craft and batteries ?
If so, it would be possible to trace location after flight log synchronization with the DJI cloud.

It would be good if DJI could install a "Find My Inspire" similar to the iPhones etc. so the owner could try and trace the whereabouts if stolen or to simply assist the police in apprehending the thief.

Something perhaps for DJI to consider with future upgrades.  We wouldn't then need to attach a third party tracking device to know exactly where the aircraft is should the horrible event of a fly away occur.

This might be a bit of a hunt but check kijiji or ebay and see if the picture matches you serial number.  I've seen people get their bikes back using this method.  If you think it is yours but cant see the serial ask them for the serial because you want to check what "version" the aircraft is.  If they dont give you the serial then you might have a suspect.
