It seems that Pocket 2 can't shoot top down (-90º)  timelapse/motionlapses or hyperlapses at all.
"Please hold gimbal still" message pop up everytime you press the record button and the timelapse stops immidiately after it, BUT Pocket 2 camera is totally still on a tripod.

Anyone experince this as well? Can anyone form DJI confirm this is the case?

Unfortunately I did find that a hard way. Not that it is a super common types of time lapses, but I can't figure out why is that not physically possible to do with that gimbal. I am guessing its a software limitation not a physical one.

Seems unlogical indeed.
But maybe it puts too much strain on the gimbal motors.
(can't think of any other good reason behind this limiation)

Me neither. Regarding the motor strength I doubt it since it can perfectly well shoot top down ( I am doing a project right now shooting macro and so it hoped perfectly). What means that it can hold time lapses as well.
Anyway may be some one form DJI team can answer it.

I know there is not much use for that type of shots but if we dismiss the obvious macro then say a top down from a roof of a building shooting cityscape could be a cool way to use for example.

With a macro lens? I am guessing it depends on a lens itself and on what I sue (Ulanzi) about 2-3 cm with a great depth of field - https://madebyvadim.d.pr/KGNtkM

Will that even work on Pocket 2?
Because that has a wider field of view than P1

It works.
Looks nice.
A bit jumpy (like stuttering)
But that might be my PC?

Must be since its all good on my side. Plus macro lens or not the Pocket shoots pretty much same vidoe no shuttering.

Never considered a P2 for macro, but it looks nice.
